Our Chicago DUI Lawyers have learned that the Chicago Police Department has released stats for DUI arrests among Chicago Police Officers. The Department states that 13 officers were arrested for DUI in the past year. Of the 13 arrests, however, only 4 were arrested in Chicago.

William McGonigle had been placed on administrative leave following his arrest for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. Our DUI defense lawyers have learned that President Barack Obama has chosen a top official with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to lead a Transportation agency that oversees safety and fuel efficiency requirements for automakers.

Chuck Hurley was nominated Wednesday to become administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Obama worked with Hurley as a state senator in Illinois to strengthen the state’s auto safety laws, the White House said.
