Man arrested for DUI hours after DUI sentencing
DERIDDER, La. (AP) — A Texas man was arrested and booked with second-offense driving while intoxicated only hours after he left a court for sentencing for an earlier DUI conviction. The 31-year-old man was arrested by state police on Wednesday.
Hours before he was arrested, he’d been in 36th Judicial District Court in DeRidder being sentenced for first-offense DUI.
The man was being held in the jail without bond pending a hearing later this month.
