DUI For Wheelchair Bound Man
Our Chicago Attorneys have reported on some unique drunk driving arrests in the past.
People have been arrested for DUIs while on a bar stool, a horse, and a riding mower and a golf cart
Adding to this list of strange and unique DUIs is the following story out of Milwaukee, WI:
WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputies make a strange bust over the weekend. They arrested 35-year-old Danial Samplaski for driving drunk on a scooter style motorized wheelchair on the freeway.
The arrest was made about 2:30 Friday morning in the Marquette Interchange. He was on a ramp going from the north to the east, it was very foggy at the time. The Sheriff’s Department says Samplaski blew a .23 on a breathalyzer, almost three times the legal limit. During the arrest Samplaski told deputies he was just trying to go home, and he didn’t know how he got on the freeway.
The man does have four prior OWI convictions.
