Wife dials 911 from passenger seat to report husband’s drunken driving

Wauwatosa, WI — Wisconsin authorities have released a chilling 911 call made by a woman trapped in a car with her drunk husband behind the wheel. “We need help! We need help!” you can hear the woman screaming. “My husband’s drunk and he’s driving and he won’t let me drive.”

The call was made Friday as the woman, her husband and their young son circled a Wauwatosa elementary school.

“You’re in the vehicle with him?” the dispatcher asked.

“Yes, me and my child,” she responded.

Despite her pleas, her husband continued driving in circles around Roosevelt Elementary.

After five frantic minutes, police arrived to find the husband sitting dazed outside the school.

A police report said the man admitted to drinking a pint of vodka and didn’t know he was driving or where he was going.

His blood alcohol level was almost four times the legal limit.

Luckily, despite the hundreds of kids being dismissed from Roosevelt at the time, no one was hurt.
